Our Day in 10 Photos – June 18 – Bali

Wednesday we were up reasonable early to enjoy the Alila Manggis pool and exceptional breakfast before packing our bags.  Shortly after lunch, we made our away from the coast too Alila’s private luxury villa, Villa Idanna.

Though we knew Villa Idanna had a lot in store for us, we were sad to be leaving the relaxing environment and exceptional service of Alila Manggis.  The staff truly went above and beyond to make our stay very memorable and enjoyable.

We took a private car provided by the hotel to make the hour trip through some step gradients, winding roads and stunning views to arrive at the beautifully secluded and romantic Villa Idanna in the Sideman Valley.  Upon arrival, we were greeted by the staff of three that would look after us during our overnight stay, as we had the entire villa to ourselves.

We eagerly walked along the path and up a stairway bordered with lush terrain to enter a hidden oasis all for us.  The Villa offers two spacious master bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, a kids room, an open-aired dining room, and two areas arranged with daybeds and chairs for outdoor lounging.  The lengthy lap pool and gardens were well situated to provide stunning views of the surrounding farm land, rice terraces and volcanic mountain, Mt. Agung, in the distance.  It didn’t take us long after we arrived before we were in our swimsuits and jumping in the ever so inviting pool.  After a lovely afternoon we were treated to a private Balinese dinner in the candlelit romantic setting of the open-aired dining room.
