On Sunday, we had a very eventful day that unfolded into a lot of fun and excitement. The day started with breakfast on the beach, followed by lunch, swim-up bar cocktails, and more with Jara and her mom Lyn. Later in the afternoon, Jara and Lyn were kind enough to invite us to visit a Uluwatu Temple with them and the driver they arranged.
The Uluwatu Temple is on the cliffs of the Southwest coast of Bali and is a sight you should not miss. Be aware of the monkeys as they like to steal sunglasses, hats, jewelry, phones and water bottles. We saw one monkey steal a tourist’s sunglasses and throw them over the cliff face. After a spectacular sunset and views of the cliffs we were off to Jimbaran for a seafood dinner along the beach. Be warned that this is quite the tourist trap with overpriced food, but the atmosphere on the beach is beautiful and it’s wonderful to have your feet in the sand while enjoying dinner.
It was a great day catching up with friends and having some very memorable experiences together.
