When in Thailand…..
Brenden is not never one to pass up an opportunity to eat something different (or anything, really). Food in Thailand is often sold by vendors driving custom motorcycles with kitchen side cars. They sell most anything. We’ve seen: ice cream, soup, desserts, stir-fry, insects, meat, you name it, you can probably find it being hocked via a passing motor bike.
When we saw a local Thai woman had stopped the passing Motorcycle Soup Guy to purchase her lunch, I challenged Brenden to give this local dish a try. The only option was chicken or beef. We went with chicken per the local’s recommendation. We watched how she ordered and prepared the dish, then ordered a serving for Brenden. Lunch for 40 Baht ($1.22USD)? It’s got to be good!
Have you tried street food on your travels? What’s the strangest thing you’ve tried?
