A 7th Grade Dream Comes True 22 Years Later

This video of our trip to Fez, Morocco shows a little girl’s dream coming true. Located in Fez is the oldest leather tannery in the world!  I so vividly remember seeing a photo of the tannery in my seventh grade geography school book.  It looked like a scene from a world away. I can remember thinking that one day I would visit and see it for myself.

On our trip to Fez, that dream came true and it was everything I imagined and more! Fes, Morocco is the most culturally different place we’ve been to yet on this trip, or ever for me (Julie), and I’ve loved the experience! We hope this video depicts how amazing we found this ancient city to be.

While in Fez, we were lucky to stay as guests of the luxurious Palais Amani.  If you do visit Fez, we would recommend staying at Palais Amani as it provides a sheltered and refined oasis inside the culturally chaotic walls of the Medina.

The Honeymoon Couple were invited guests of Palais Amani, however the views and opinions expressed are solely our own.
